Welcome to the Billy Brings his Buddies website! Here you will find a variety of information, resources and activities designed to help parents and educators teach children about the Buddy System.
Children who go places alone are at a greater risk of being harmed. Teaching them to incorporate personal safety strategies into their daily lives will reduce their vulnerability towards victimization.
The Canadian Centre for Child Protection's education program, Kids in the Know, has created the Billy Brings His Buddies program to help parents and educators teach children
the Buddy System. This personal safety strategy can help children increase their safety by teaching them the important habit of staying with a buddy when going places.
Sponsored by Honeywell Canada, the Billy Brings his Buddies program includes a lesson
plan for Grade One teachers, an online storybook and activities, and take-home activities for children to complete with their parents/guardians.
To help reinforce this important safety habit with your children or your students, click on the 'Games' button above to play the original Billy Brings his Buddies game, and our new Halloween Safety
game.
